No Adidas for MJ…

In an earlier Post, I mentioned that Micheal Jordan’s son, Marcus, was involved in a legal battle with Adidas and his school of choice, the University of Central Florida. Marcus was granted his wish not to wear Adidas sneakers like everyone else in the school but in the meanwhile loss the school’s 3 million dollar sponsorship.

Now let’s see if my prediction was right…

Will Daddy pick up the tab???

Boxer Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, On November 14th, straight up whooped Miguel Cotto’s buttocks… earning a 12th round TKO bringing is record to 51 win / 3 losses and 2 no contest.

Watch the whole fight…

Now the world wants to know… forget pound for pound, who is the best boxer alive??? Many would side with Pacquiao and I would with the outspoken Floyd Mayweather whose record is … really I don’t really care who would win but this would be an amazing fight to watch, the type of fight to bring boxing back to mainstream. The money involved would be uncanny don’t even mention the fight over who would have the biggest burse… In my opinion this fight may never happen but if it does, I have to give the slight edge to Floyd just because in reality who has ever given Floyd a real fight? May Manny, I am very interested to see.

This is what Floyd had to say…

***Sidebar: I mentioned a beef between Floyd Mayweather and rapper Rick Ross previously, Well this is Floyd’s comeback…

Rick Ross’ family was invited to watch the Pacquiao / Cotto fight at Mayweather’s house, which they happily accepted, here is a Picture of Floyd, rapper 50cent (who also has a long-time beef with Rick Ross), Rick Ross’ estranged son and Baby Moma.

 LOL and SMH

The NFL just handed Cincinnati Bangals Star receiver, Chad Ocho Cinco (Formally Johnson) a $20 000 fine for trying to Bribe a referee with a $1 bill when they went to instant replay to se if Chad made a circus sideline catch or not. The Catch was called out of bounds and Chad probably knew that, being his entertaining self he quickly pulled out a dollar bill and showed it to the ref. Know does anybody really think for a second that the referee actually took it seriously?

I SMH to the NFL for taking all the fun out the game

Shannon Sharpe… Come on Brah!

Let the players show some personality and allow them to come up with fun celebrations as long as it stays within a respectful manner.

Belichick makes the wrong call…

Filed under Football, Teddy Points of view...

I’m sure most of you saw the Sunday night football game with the undefeated Indianapolis Colts versus the New England Patriots… Well those who saw the game know that The Pats coach Bill Belichick made a gusty call with the game on the line, with the lead might I add, to go for a forth down conversion in their own territory. Lord and behold, the Pats come just shy of getting that crucial forth down, gave the ball up in their territory and watch the Colts march down on the short field, scoring the winning touchdown on a short pass from Payton Manning to Reggie Wayne with 10 seconds left. Many are saying that Coach Bill made the mistake of not punting the ball and giving the colts a long field giving them a more difficult time to aspire to win the game. Did Belichick, who is known for out coaching, out smarting, out working opposing team strategies and cut off hoodies, make a mistake by putting the game in Tom “terrific’s” hands?? I’m not sure, I’m still debating about this one because we all know that had they converted, they would have won and everyone today would be saying how smart Bill was for going for it. You can’t win em all and just to prove my point, back in 06, the Pats were faced with the same situation against the same Payton Manning’s  Colts, that time Bill chose to punt the ball… Payton got the ball with less then 2 minutes left to the game, drove 80 yards inside that time limit and won the game. Maybe Bill had that in the back of his mind…

***Sidebar: We are all talking about whether Belichick made the wrong call but really we need to be paying more attention to the Colts defence, the last two plays were made by Undrafted rookies playing in a big time moments against arguably the leagues most prolific offence! The Colts “D” that has been criticized for years has stepped up in the crunch! So Did Bill make the wrong call or did the Colts defence step up to the plate… Let me know what you think.

Empire state of mind…

Usain Bolt Adopts Baby…

Usain Bolt Adopted the fastest creature on earth… a baby Cheetah! Bolt has sponsored a 3 moth old male Cheetah which he wisely name “Lightning Bolt”. The reasoning behind this stunt was to sensitize the world to Kenya’s ongoing battle with the conservation of the infamous wildlife because of trophy hunting, climate change and human encroachment threatening its survival.  Usain, who paid a hefty amount for the animal, will also pay an annual fee to care for Lightning. According to KWS director Julius Kipngetich, most of the money will go to the Kenya Wildlife service and some will be used to protect Kenya’s endangered species.

Good on you Usain!!

But who do you think would win in a race today? A 3 month old baby Cheetah name Lightning or Usain Bolt?

I would never bet against Usain in a race…

A few days ago, Ben Fanelli, a 16 year old hockey player in the OHL was viciously hit by Erie Otter a 2o year old opposing team player. Fanelli suffered a crown fracture and is in critical but stable position. Otter has just now been suspended for 1 YEAR by the league for the hit on Ben. Finally a league that puts it’s pants on a decides to do something… but then again, and I may get some negative comments for this… looking at the hit it seems like a pretty routine hit that had a devastating outcome. I’m not excusing the action made by Otter but had Fanelli simply taken the hit without any damage done, would we even be talking about it today? I believe Otter is a victim of circumstances because of the outcome of the hit, I would go even as far as saying that I disagree with the league on this one because, really, Otter didn’t do anything wrong according to the rules, so if the league doesn’t like the outcome of those types of hits then… CHANGE THE RULES! But don’t punish a guy based on the aftermath of a play. Unfortunately, a life is in danger here and there is obviously a problem in all hockey leagues when it comes to hits to the head, I hope the NHL takes notice of all these incidents that have occurred so far in the start of this young season and start protecting their players/assets more… SMH!
