“The Dome”- New Dallas Cowboys Stadium

After watching Monday Night Football, My Team, the Dallas Cowboys finally won their first game in their new 1.3 BILLION dollar stadium. Now this post is not about the team’s victory, instead I’m talking about their bar setting stadium. This stadium, where a new NFL record 105 121 people were in, is a state of the art sports venue. The 15 years in the making, “Bad Boy” Jerry Jones vision, Dome holds 111 000 people. It’s an astounding 3 million square feet and has a controversial 160 x 72 foot (49 m × 22 m) television that is situated 90 feet above the 50 yard line and also the worlds largest TV. I say controversial because in the preseason opener an opponent kicker, punted the ball that hit the base of the television, a new rule was set in place by the NFL because of that play, now if a ball hits the scoreboard, the play is called dead and re-done. There is a ground level lounge that covers the entire field where fans are so close to the game and players they think they are part of the game. $60 20 inch pizza’s, 5 dollar beers and tickets ranging from $75 to $239 but you can also buy a $29 party pass ticket which is a standing seat ticket. This stadium is so great I need to add a video to explain all the details. Please view it and you too will be amazed…

** Sidebar: With this Stadium being built, I come to ask myself… Why can’t we have one like that? When I say we, I mean the Montreal Canadiens. We, here, are die hard fans and it’s hard to find a ticket under $250 let alone A ticket for that matter, we can use “THE DOME” model and do our own version. The $29 standing seat and $5 beers ideas is, to me, one of the greatest moves ever. Our home games have been sold out since 2004, the Bell center only holds 21 273 people, a far cry form Dallas’ 111 000. With The Molson family recently re-buying the franchise, I call them out to build something great for the city.

HABS…. STEP YOU GAME UP!!

Manning’s heel is worse than originally thought. This could hinder his play. The giants are definitely on the ropes. It is definitely time for the boys to step up.
