Usain Bolt Adopted the fastest creature on earth… a baby Cheetah! Bolt has sponsored a 3 moth old male Cheetah which he wisely name “Lightning Bolt”. The reasoning behind this stunt was to sensitize the world to Kenya’s ongoing battle with the conservation of the infamous wildlife because of trophy hunting, climate change and human encroachment threatening its survival.  Usain, who paid a hefty amount for the animal, will also pay an annual fee to care for Lightning. According to KWS director Julius Kipngetich, most of the money will go to the Kenya Wildlife service and some will be used to protect Kenya’s endangered species.

Good on you Usain!!

But who do you think would win in a race today? A 3 month old baby Cheetah name Lightning or Usain Bolt?

I would never bet against Usain in a race…

Usain “lightning” Bolt

Usain Bolt is not only re-writing the sport record books he is also re-writing the laws of physics and mathematics books. According to a study done by Ethan Siegel the fastest time that could be run by a human would be around 9.2 seconds for the 100 meters. Mathematically that wouldn’t come for another couple of hundreds of years. This mathematical theory was done by using hundreds of clocked sprinting time since they started clocking the time in the 1920’s

*The white triangles are for the estimated fastest possible time curb       **The red diamonds are the athletes actual fastest clocked 100m dash times by year

By looking at the progression of the Men’s 100 meter world record, we can really see how INSAINE USAIN’s time really is. He is way ahead of the running curb. Mathematically no one should be able to run this fast until year 2030. By doing so more studies were made and some physicist / mathematicians have been quoted saying that maybe just maybe someone will run the 100 meters in 5 seconds flat? So my question to you Usain is… is it in you??

Usain Bolt:  100 m (9 s 58), 200 m (19 s 19) and 4 x 100 m (37 s 10). All world ground breaking records
