Chris Henry….

Cincinnati Bengals co-star receiver Chris Henry, who has had troubles in the pass with the law, has passed away after suffering a fatal head injury. The police report states that Chris and his fiancée, Loleini Tonga, were having a domestic dispute. When Tonga tried to leave in her pickup truck, Chris apparently jumps into the pickup’s bed, continued arguing, while Loleini continued driving. Chris eventually fell out the bed and landed on his head causing his eventual death at 6.36 am This Thursday morning. This makes me think… Life’s too short! why can’t we just all get along and enjoy life, even with millions of dollars in the bank, some folks can’t find happiness, now I don’t know what the argument was about but that not the point here, I’m just loosed for words when avoidable incidents happen.

Chris Henri… Rest in Peace!

Reebok is celebrating the 2oth anniversary of their coveted Pump sneaker. I talk about this because a kid and basketball player, when Dee Brown of the Boston Celtics came out for the Dunk competition as a rookie in 91, he left an everlasting impression on all kids of my generation. If I had a top 10 made for basketball sneaker list, this shoe would definitely make it…

Oh wait, maybe I do, stay tuned for that…

Please PLEASE vite this site for an exiting run through history…

The Montreal Canadiens make some moves…

A few nights ago the Habs shocked their fans by trading their beloved Guillaume Latendresse, even those who have been hating on him are questioning the move. If you look at the trade with and expert’s eye, you can see all the reasons why it was made… The Habs traded Guillaume for the Minnesota Wild’s Benoit Pouliot a player drafted with the 4th pick overall in 05, the same year Latendresse was drafted with the 45th pick by Montreal. Both players have not lived up to the hype but Latendresse has played much Much more games then Benoit because he skipped the minor league process, thus his stat sheet is a little bit better. With all that being said, both these under achievers are up for contracts next season, the only thing is that because of Guillaume’s stat sheet being better he can ask for much more money then Benoit… something The Habs cannot afford. Depict as a VERY slow skater and, to me, sketchy puck handleling skillz, the upside is that Guillaume can resurrect his career elsewhere because here it was going nowhere. As for Benoit, who has yet to prove his worthiness of a 4th overall pick, is a mush more skilled skater and has a lot of upside, let’s just hope that he can also resurrect his career with the Habs… Another good thing is that Guillaume was love in Montreal for many reasons but one of them being that he was a local kid who spoke French, now Benoit is not a local kid (from Saint-Isidore Ontario… 30 minutes away from MTL) s also a French speaking guy therefore the Habs fans will embrace him quickly. Benoit has a chance to go from Zero to Hero in a matter of weeks.

With Big bro Andrei Kostytin looking like he’s back on track, Little Bro, Bad boy Sergei is back with “Le Grand Club”, after being sent down to the farm team for disciplinary reasons. In last night’s game, he showed why we are still giving him chances, he’s a great player with an attitude problem, let’s hope that Coach Martin can keep him in check because we can certainly use his skillz on the ice…

No Adidas for MJ…

In an earlier Post, I mentioned that Micheal Jordan’s son, Marcus, was involved in a legal battle with Adidas and his school of choice, the University of Central Florida. Marcus was granted his wish not to wear Adidas sneakers like everyone else in the school but in the meanwhile loss the school’s 3 million dollar sponsorship.

Now let’s see if my prediction was right…

Will Daddy pick up the tab???

Get well soon…

Usain Bolt Adopts Baby…

Usain Bolt Adopted the fastest creature on earth… a baby Cheetah! Bolt has sponsored a 3 moth old male Cheetah which he wisely name “Lightning Bolt”. The reasoning behind this stunt was to sensitize the world to Kenya’s ongoing battle with the conservation of the infamous wildlife because of trophy hunting, climate change and human encroachment threatening its survival.  Usain, who paid a hefty amount for the animal, will also pay an annual fee to care for Lightning. According to KWS director Julius Kipngetich, most of the money will go to the Kenya Wildlife service and some will be used to protect Kenya’s endangered species.

Good on you Usain!!

But who do you think would win in a race today? A 3 month old baby Cheetah name Lightning or Usain Bolt?

I would never bet against Usain in a race…

Let the games begin…
