Greatest pound for pound…

Boxer Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, On November 14th, straight up whooped Miguel Cotto’s buttocks… earning a 12th round TKO bringing is record to 51 win / 3 losses and 2 no contest.

Watch the whole fight…

Now the world wants to know… forget pound for pound, who is the best boxer alive??? Many would side with Pacquiao and I would with the outspoken Floyd Mayweather whose record is … really I don’t really care who would win but this would be an amazing fight to watch, the type of fight to bring boxing back to mainstream. The money involved would be uncanny don’t even mention the fight over who would have the biggest burse… In my opinion this fight may never happen but if it does, I have to give the slight edge to Floyd just because in reality who has ever given Floyd a real fight? May Manny, I am very interested to see.

This is what Floyd had to say…

***Sidebar: I mentioned a beef between Floyd Mayweather and rapper Rick Ross previously, Well this is Floyd’s comeback…

Rick Ross’ family was invited to watch the Pacquiao / Cotto fight at Mayweather’s house, which they happily accepted, here is a Picture of Floyd, rapper 50cent (who also has a long-time beef with Rick Ross), Rick Ross’ estranged son and Baby Moma.

 LOL and SMH

“Iron” Mike Tyson went on Oprah not too long ago, speaking on his movie, his life and the death of his daughter. I think he’s been through a lot, atcted boarderline insaine at times, but it’s time to move on.  Let’s not take only a part of his life and think that that is who he now is; has he really changed? I don’t know but I’m not going to lose sleep on the thought he hasn’t.

Be EZ Mike!

Catching heat from the Media…

This past week many professional sport players have been catching heat from the press. I want to talk about 3 people in question…

Jean Pascale

Québec’s pride middleweight WBC champion boxer Jean Pascale, who is very outspoken, has been catching heat before and after his Friday night successful belt defence against #1 aspiring contender Silvio Branco. You see the thing is that, Here in Québec, it seems like the public doesn’t relate to outspoken, American style athletes. Jean talks A LOT of trash before a fight and even more after, I think that the Public takes it as cockiness but I believe it’s just in his nature to be a showsmen. He speaks clearly and has valid points when talking about an opponent but yet the fighter with a record of 24 wins (16 KO) and 1 defeat (Carl Froch, decision “in the UK”) still gets no love from the public. I honestly think that if someone like George St-Pierre would be the same way (which he is not) the Québec public would embrace the champion as he rightfully deserves.

Jean Pascale… Stay true to yourself eventually you’ll win them over!!!!

George Laraque

The Montreal Canadiens’ tough guy George Laraque, has Stated that he will no longer address the media unless he gets, reads and approves all questions. George who has always been outspoken and brutally honest with the public may have just dug a deeper whole with the media and Habs Fans. I must admit that that declaration by Laraque was a little foolish but, to me, very understandable. It just seems like he is always getting bad press, whatever he says, even if jokingly, is dissected under a microscope. I think in many cases it’s unfair because really he says things that many people are afraid to say bur for some reason, whenever HE says it is taken the wrong way!?!??!?  He has been quoted saying things that other of his team-mates have also said but he’s the bad guy for saying it? Now the Press is trying to stage a boycott against him but the problem is that he keeps the public entertained with his comments and his blog. Please let George be George.

My advise to you George is to beat down fools who mess with your team-mates (on the ice) and hire a publicist, sometimes, without meaning it, things you say will come back to hunt you and by having someone help you say the “right” things you may be able to win back your popularity. But just remember… I always got your back Homey!

Terrell Owens

Now my boy T.O. is regarded as one of the elite Wide receivers in the game today (NFL) but is also regarded as a Quarterback killer and a locker room disrupter. With his publicized feuds with QB’s Jeff Garcia, Donovan Mcnabb and Tony Romo, he is now on his fourth Qb Trent Edwards. In Buffalo, he is doing his best not to have a hussy fit (I don’t know how he doesn’t) but he media just can’t seem to get off his back. After Sunday’s game loss, he ended the NFL’s second longest catch per game streak at 185, Trent was unable to deliver him the ball. With that said, after Sunday’s game, the media drilled him hard, so bad I felt sorry for him and was very upset at how badly they disrespected the man. Take a look for yourself… The Bills really need to think this one out… they paid the NFL’s catching touchdowns leader over the past 5 years, the big bucks to do just that score TD’s. Despite the all controversies, he has always been a fierce player on the field and did his best to get his team to the next level. The bills need to start game planning better and set plays for him to get the ball and do his magic.

T.O. I applaud you for not loosing your head and keeping it cool the other night. Stay focussed, when they start giving you plays and you start scoring touchdowns, they’ll make sure the balls keep on coming (PAUSE LOLL)
